On November 3, 2001 Canadian
Public Radio aired an interview with The Tunnel Singer coast-to-coast
in Canada.
Arthur Black, host of
Basic Black, a Saturday morning variety show played some of
my music and asked me about "tunnel singing." The
response from listeners has been delightful! People wrote to
tell me about their own "tunnel singing."
I heard
from teachers who take their classes to tunnel-sing in nearby
park tunnels, grain farmers who vocalize in empty storage bins
and municipal service workers who know and love their resonant
spaces.
I received
e-mail from British Columbia to Nova Scotia describing the spaces
people sound out in their hometowns.
Let
me know about YOUR favorite "tunnel!"
