At Marin Headlands Tunnel

The Marin Headlands, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation area (GGNRA), provide a most spectacular view of the whole Bay Area (unless the fog is in...but then the tunnel sounds especially good)!

Directions from San Francisco:
Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Take first exit (Alexander Avenue) stay left. Go under freeway and back towards the bridge. Just before entering highway again, make a right turn up the headlands. Go to top, staying left at the only fork. The tunnels are at the top, (just before road becomes one-way).
