| As
I sang under the dome of the Palace of Fine Arts, guests arrived
for a time-transforming Renaissance wedding.
The
golden light of Spring shown on the exquisite bride. Her beaded headdress and flower crown
blazed among feather-plumes.
She and her velvet-clad attendants
stood among men in breeches, high boots and braid-trimmed jackets. Even the photographer
wore an ivory taffeta longtailed jacket.
Swans gently rearranged reflections
of plum blossoms while an impassioned drake pursued his mate. |
